Humanitarian Report on the Response to the Northwest Syria Escalation
On November 27, 2024, northwest Syria witnessed a new wave of military escalation, leading
to the displacement of numerous families and exacerbating the already dire humanitarian
needs in the region. The attacks targeted villages and populated areas, causing widespread
panic and further complicating the long-standing humanitarian crisis.
This escalation comes at a time when local communities are already struggling to meet their
basic needs, underscoring the urgent need for a coordinated humanitarian response to
support the affected populations and ensure the provision of essential protection and
services.
