On World Humanitarian Day, we remember the sacrifices of humanitarian workers who bring hope in times of crisis. We honor the souls of the martyrs who were martyred while performing their humanitarian duties and reaffirm our commitment to continue our efforts with team spirit and volunteerism to face challenges and support those in need.

As the scale of humanitarian need increases day by day, we find ourselves facing a difficult challenge with declining funding.
However, we believe that our efforts and the sacrifices of our colleagues who died in the 2023 earthquake will remain a beacon of hope for those in need, and we must continue to raise the voice of humanity despite all the challenges.

Amidst the humanitarian crises in northern Syria, we see the sacrifices of humanitarian workers shining hope in the darkness of crises. We remember with pain and pride the souls of the martyred humanitarian workers who died under the rubble or while performing their humanitarian duties affirming that they did not leave without leaving an impact on us. We face huge challenges. But with team spirit, volunteerism, and our belief in humanitarian work, we can overcome these difficulties and continue to provide support to those in need.

As Syrian doctors, no matter how far we are scattered around the world, we cannot forget our people. SEMA was the way we connected with our people in Northern Syria, supported them, and helped heal their wounds. We were there even when we faced the greatest catastrophic tragedy of the century, the 2023 earthquake. Our hospitals became spaces for treatment, recovery, and sanctuary. We are immensely proud of our journey together and the efforts of our teams. Let the anniversary of our humanitarian work be an occasion to redouble our efforts and collaborate together in this humanitarian journey.

Throughout the campaign, we published a series of posts presenting 10 essential articles from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, accompanied by awareness-raising designs in both Arabic and English.
